A Search Engine Results Page (SERP) is a page on the web that displays the list of results from a search query. SERPs are generated by search engines when a user types in a keyword or phrase and sends it to the engine. The engine then searches for websites, images, videos, and other content related to the query and returns them on the SERP. The order and positioning of these results depend on numerous factors such as relevance to the query, quality of content, domain authority or trustworthiness, and even location-specific relevance. SERPs can also include sponsored ads that appear at the top and bottom of the page, as well as featured snippets that provide instant answers to queries without having to click through to any website.
